Job Description
BEI Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee renewable energy projects such as commercial solar in our High Voltage division. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing the overall direction coordination implementation and completion of projects. Additionally you will ensure projects achieve time scope budget quality safety and customer satisfaction requirements. This role will report to the General Manager of the division with frequent travel to jobsites located throughout the Bay Area.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Responsible for coordinating all activities associated with the timely accurate and onbudget completion of the project according to established project management procedures
- Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process and lead project kickoff meetings
- Manage workload distribution and monitor job progress
- Responsible for effective and timely communication with customers including change orders onsite visits etc.
- Plan for manage monitor and maintain project profitability
- Review project status weekly to identify problem areas and spearhead resolutions
- Raise awareness to management regarding potential claims back charges or large costs that will affect BEI financially on assigned projects
- Ensure that any scope schedule cost or change of terms are handled in accordance to stated change order procedures
- Attend team meetings of all projects statuses and utilization
- Prepare project reports as requested
- Keep accurate files and records of project status and activities
- Reviews all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness including but not limited to the preparation of invoices customer collections and periodic financial reporting to the customer and management
- Manage all related quality and safety issues on customer work
- Other duties as required or assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry is required
- Minimum 35 years experience is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid CA Driver License and MVR that meets BEI driving standards
- Ability to interpret construction documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
