You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Deputy Sheriff is responsible for serving the public enforcing state and federal laws and local ordinances and supervising a shift of Deputy Sheriffs in the absence of the Sergeant.
The Deputy Sheriff should possess at a minimum a High School Diploma or GED. To be considered for the position of Deputy Sheriff all applicants must agree to and successfully pass a background investigation physical agility test and polygraph. Must be in possession of a valid Georgia Drivers license at the time of appointment. Must be at least eighteen 18 years of age and be a citizen of the United States.

The Deputy Sheriff must be knowledgeable of the following principles procedures and concepts:
