Job Description

Overview:
Client is seeking a highly qualified DHCS Certified Master Trainer or Certified Site Reviewer to lead and perform Facility Site Reviews (FSRs) Medical Record Reviews (MRRs) and Physical Accessibility Reviews (PARs) in alignment with California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Managed Care Quality and Monitoring Division (MCQMD) standards. This position ensures quality compliance and accessibility across KP and contracted healthcare facilities statewide.

This is a rare and impactful opportunity to be part of a 10-member elite statewide team-5 in Northern California and 5 in Southern California-that functions as an extension of the Department of Health Care Services. Youll be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance improving provider performance and safeguarding quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently conduct DHCS-mandated FSRs MRRs and PARs.

  • Ensure all surveys comply with MCQMD requirements and DHCS timelines.

  • Report findings to providers and internal stakeholders.

  • Issue and monitor Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).

  • Maintain active DHCS certification by attending trainings.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams and committees on compliance and policy.

  • Lead gap analyses data entry and the creation of recommendations for process improvement.

  • Coordinate with departments to ensure survey preparedness participate in mock surveys and support regulatory reporting needs.

  • Act as liaison with DHCS external vendors and internal leaders for audits and reviews.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
  • MCQMD Certified Master Trainer or MCQMD Certified Site Reviewer (California).

  • California medical license required: MD RN PA or NP.

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a DHCS Site Reviewer or Master Trainer.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role (with or without direct reports).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with databases and spreadsheets.

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Health Care Administration Nursing Public Health or related field with 7 years relevant experience OR 10 years of directly related experience without a degree.
