How will I help
The Platform Solution Engineer role offers the technical expertise and focused attention needed to support Westpacs nextgeneration technology capabilities including data analytics platform development specialized application development and systems and processes.
This position will primarily function in an Agile environment and the individual will be responsible for supporting technology capabilities to ensure effective delivery of value to our customers.

What do I need
- Strong experience in software development and application system design.
- Proven experience in understanding the activities required to solve problems.
- Experience in providing quality reviews of code and leading quality control initiatives.
- Demonstrated significant experience with Data Platforms especially Teradata (SQL Utilities Architecture and Framework).
- Handson experience with Unix scripting as well as DevOps design and tools.
- Strong data background ideally with experience working on Data Warehouses and big data platforms.
- Strong analytical problemsolving troubleshooting and consultative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an open clear and engaging manner.
- Experience in the banking industry is desirable.
