OCEANDRIVE SERVICES is seeking for its client a foreign shipowner on a fast growing market a Senior Technical Sueprintendent M/F.
As a Snr Technical Superintendent you are responsible for the efficient operation of the ships assigned.
You are a member of the Ship Management Team and you will operate in accordance to the Company procedures and best ship management practices whilst giving absolute regard to safety of life at sea and protection of the environment always. You are responsible for ensuring health and safety is adhered to at all times.

Role and Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation and reporting of onboard Operational Procedures effectively and efficiently. Manage regular reports from vessels assigned to him/her and file them in a structured manner. Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel.
Carry out regular data analysis of costs PMS and other KPI factors in order to ascertain the condition of the vessel vis a vis reliability of operations. Maintain structure and quality of data fed into Ship manager system by crew onboard the vessels (GL system).
Being the 1st point of contact for all technical issues on board the vessel supervise and provide requisite technical advice and support to the vessel
Develop and implement an operational plan for the Vessel Team to ensure compliance efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate and carry out maintenance work on board and monitor the quality standard.
At least 2 sailing visit per vessel / year to monitor the general condition repairs and maintenance crew performance safety environmental protection and any actions required. Discuss with Ships Command the work plan running costs spares and stores and other issues of concern and reporting on same
Drawing up and monitoring maintenance budgets to ensure that vessel is maintained to high standards and that our assets are reliable safe and complying to international standards with cost effectiveness.
Planning organizing supervising repairs inspections and dockings and the preparation of final technical and financial reports.
Ensure adequate resources and shorebased support are provided to vessels as required. Monitor on board crew performance; identify development programs with Crewing team to enhance crew competencies skills and knowledge. Investigating and analyzing technical defects and taking preventive and corrective measures in a timely manner.
Overview and approval of purchase of spares lubricants stores for the efficient operations of the vessel.
Implementing the vendor selection process in alignment for processes in HO. Engage with centralized function to ensure that processes comply with the head office requirement.
Direct and enforce sea and shore staff to adhere continuously to all Company and international safety policies procedures and requirements. Promote a culture of high standards and continual improvement.
Liaise with suppliers classification societies and other external parties.
Lead member of the Shore based Emergency Response Team to mitigate the vessel emergencies such as collision grounding fire environmental pollution etc.
Handling of damage reports and claims.
Responsible for crew appraisals briefing and debriefing of Engineer officers.
Conduct Prepurchase inspections as and when required.
Assist in carrying out technical analysis for 2nd hand tonnage acquisition.
Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required assigned by Managing Director Fleet Management / Senior Fleet Manager

Requirements:
Education & Knowledge:
Recognized marine engineering or naval architecture degree qualification
Good understanding of shorebased activities and implications surrounding the role (application/interview)
Able to administer technical and budgetary requirements
Abreast of the latest rules and regulation including technologies available for safe and efficient running the vessels
Competent using Microsoft office and other computer software
Working Experience:
Min 2 years of experience in a similar capacity. Candidates with more than 6 years of experience in a similar capacity will be considered for the senior technical superintendent. Experience in handling LNG / Dual Fuel vessels desired.
Prior sailing exp as Chief Engineer on ocean going vessels. Experience on LNG / Dual Fueled (Methanol) desired.
Prior experience in managing dry docking of vessel
Candidate should have good knowledge of PMS and SMS system
