A great opportunity within mining is available for an Accounts Payable Clerk. You will ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers adhering to financial procedures and performing reconciliations. Your ability to navigate easily with accounting software and experience with foreign payments is required. Strong numeracy and sound technical skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Processing and Administration
- Managing the daytoday vendor payment cycle
- Process accounts and outgoing payments
- Perform day to day financial transactions
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify discrepancies and resolve suppliers billing issues
- Agree invoice to supporting documentation
- Analysis of expense and invoice reports
- Accurate processing of intercompany transactions
- Maintain age analysis
- Ensure timeous payment of vendor invoices
- Accurate processing of foreign payments and exchange rates if necessary
- Perform general administration as required
- Perform adhoc tasks as requested by the Financial Accountant
Requirements:
- BCom in Financial Accounting or a similar degree
- Min 35 years experience in administration and finance within mining
- Knowledge of accounts processing and administration financial systems
