Job role
To lead the internal communications team supporting the delivery of the communications strategy and to enhances the reputation of the council internally. To ensure that all of the internal teams planned objectives and outcomes are delivered on time and on budget. To identify and maximise all opportunities for budget saving and income generation across the team and wider teams across the council. To support the leadership and vision to establish a strong reputation for the communications team both internally and externally and one based on results and outcomes.

The team are driven and expertsin their fields. The communications team reputation is known through the local area and internally for the level of professionalism accuracy and creativity.

About You
We are looking for an ambitious motivated and experienced communicator who is able to work under their own initiative as well as taking direction and advice from the wider communications team and council. A cando team player attitude is a must as well as the ability to deliver communications content and more for marketing campaigns and press enquiries to required deadlines.
As a Corporate Communications Manager you will collaborate with the wider team supporting the Assistant Director of Communications and Head of Communications andusing your creative thinking to ensureall initiatives meet deadlines and objectives of the client.
You will work with the existing corporate communications team to support the growth of the business while building relationships across the council to understand the organisations requirements.
