Primary Responsibilities
Design develop and implement hybrid cloud environments
Deployand automate infrastructure & platform servicesinPublic Clouds (AWS GCP and Azure)using Terraform and Ansible
Design and manage Continuous deployment using Kubernetes and Jenkins
Design implement and execute Backup and Recovery and Business Continuity processes
Design implement and executeindustry standard securityprocesses for best practices and compliance (SOC2 ISO27001Fedramp HIPPAetc) leveraging services in Public Cloud such as AWSGuardDuty Web Application Firewall andCloudtrail.
Monitor environments for security vulnerabilities and take actions to remediate and/or mitigate risks
Monitor applications and services within the environments oncall rotation using Datadog Elastic Search andOpsgenie take actions to resolve issues and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysisfor Service Incidents using Jira Service Desk and the alerting and monitoring tools documented above
Set up intelligent application performance alertsin Datadog andElasticSearchto find and fix issues before they impact business services and endusers
Learn about technologies outside of your realm of expertisethat help drive
Work collaboratively with software engineering to develop/deploy our systems
Skills & Requirements
Understanding ofhow cloudbasedweb applicationswork and interest in measuring analyzing and improving distributed systems
Familiar with web application development usingJavascript Java AngularJS PostgreSQLor SQL Serverdatabase
24 years experiencewith Public Cloud Deployments both Hybrid and Pure public cloud deployments
Experience with Docker andKubernetesin production
Experience with automation tools like Terraform or Ansible
Experience with Networking and securityTechnologyfor cloud services
Experience with Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins orCircleCI
Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools for SaaS such as ELK Splunk Datadog etc
Good communication skills written and verbal
Well organized and can take direction and work independently
Team working skills
BS or MS Computer Science
