We are looking for a Production Operator to directly execute all manufacturing associated activities at Grifols Australia to ensure that the manufacturing plans are achieved and that the products produced are of the highest possible quality.
What your responsibilities will be
You will have the opportunity to:
- Follow approved manufacturing and testing instructions to produce a range of highquality IVD products such as Reagent Red Cells Solutions and Gel Cards.
- Perform manufacturing and testing functions in line with requirements stipulated in Grifols Standard Operating Procedures Manufacturing Batch Process Sheets and those defined in ISO13485 Quality Management Systems for the manufacture of medical devices.
- Perform large and smallscale formulation and filtration of solutions and gels.
- Follow manufacturing instructions to operate purposebuilt equipment to dispense and pack finished products.
- Ensure that the movement of raw materials and semifinished products is accurately recorded in SAPR3.
- Perform inprocess quality control tests using approved measuring and laboratory equipment.
- Take QC samples for environmental monitoring bioburden testing and serological testing.
- Ensure the manufacturing facility and equipment are cleaned organised and maintained in a state commensurate with the relevant SOPs requirements.
- Operate in a manner that is consistent and reinforces the practices detailed in Grifols OH&S policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor Production Engineering Manager and Senior Management to facilitate standardisation and harmonisation of manufacturing and quality practices against those practised by Diagnostic Grifols.
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor Production Technician and Production Engineering Manager to assist in implementing initiatives that lead to process improvements.

- The position is available tosomeone with 1 2 years experience in a medical device biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong working knowledge of cGMP and ISO 13485 quality systems is highly desirable.
- Exposure to manufacturing enterprise resource operating systems such as SAP
- Flexibility and availability to be rostered on and work in a shifting environment
- Good and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic well organised and a welldeveloped attention to detail skillset
- Ability to troubleshoot and think independently.
- Aptitude for digital technology welldeveloped understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) good hygiene and sanitary practices sound literacy and numeracy skills.
MUST HAVES
- Availability to work early and late shifts which is rostered up to 12 am and some weekends.
Early shift: 6 am 2:30 pm
Day shift 8:30 am 5 pm
Midshift 11:30 am 8 pm
Late shift: 3:30 pm 12 am
- At least 6 months experience as a Production/Machine Operator or as an analyst/officer in alaboratory or a storeperson in awarehousefrom either Medical Devices Pharma Food or Cosmetic industries.
- A working knowledge of GMP.
- No tertiary qualifications can be considered.
