Performs skilled herbicide application work at numerous aquatic and terrestrial sites throughout the City of Orlando. The employee in this position is responsible for following the supervisors instructions in applying herbicides. Herbicides are applied to control unwanted vegetation without damaging desired vegetation and private property. Performs normal and some specialized maintenance in aforementioned work areas. Work is performed under the supervision of a licensed supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and 1 year of experience in rightofway and aquatic herbicide application; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Valid Florida Drivers License required. Valid Florida Restricted Pesticide License in the aquatic and rightofway categories required. CPR and First Aid certification required.
