Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital located in Suffolk Virginia is hiring a flexi status MRI Technologist.

In this role you will:

• Perform MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all people including staff and customers.
• Maintain an adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.
• Explain examination and procedure to patients and complete departmental documentation.

THERE IS A PREMIUM RATE FOR FLEXI STATUS!

• $39 for less than 5 credit years of experience
• $44 for 5 or more credit years of experience

Our department is open from 6am 10:30pm Monday through Friday and 6am 7pm on weekends. We have three MRI Tesla magnets. We are accredited by The American College of Radiology (ACR). We perform approximately 400 MRIs per month.

• This is an as needed position to cover vacations sick leave etc. You will have advanced notice of available hours.

Education

• Trade School Graduate

Certification/Licensure

• CNMT or ARDMS or ARRT or ARMRIT is required.
• Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire.
• BLS American Heart Association

Experience

• One 1 year experience in a Radiology position (Radiologic Tech Nuclear Medicine Mammography or Ultrasound) is preferred.
• Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program or a graduate of a 24month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience.
• Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred.
