Job Description

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a nonprofit Skilled Nursing Facility with a high nursetopatient ratio

The Company:Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a nonprofit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009 with the mission to honor God by serving others with love and compassion. We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent assisted living memory care and skilled nursing services. Our 19bed skilled nursing facility opened in 2017.

Available Shifts: Parttime schedule shifts of 8 hours per day.

  1. AM shift 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

Job Overview:Were looking for individuals who take joy in providing excellent personalized care for those struggling with a temporary setback or a terminal diagnosis. Our team of CNAs along with our LVNs and RNs seek not only accurate medical care but also enriching personal interactions for our patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Patients and their families often comment that they love our staffs friendliness and dedication and were looking for more people who share that mindset.

The CNAs will be responsible for ensuring highquality resident care by following federal state and company regulations/policies directing and documenting nursing duties monitoring and reviewing care plans and procedures reporting to the Director of Staff Development and Director of Nursing and leading by positive example.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities (and estimated time utilization):

  • Regulatory Compliance (throughout all duties performed)
  • Delivery of Care 70
  • Resident/Family/Client/Guest Relations 20
  • Professional Development 5
  • Other Duties as Assigned 5

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current & valid CNA license in State of California
  • Professional experience in longterm care (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including patience and compassion
  • Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple items/tasks as required
  • Ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and privacy
  • Willingness and ability to respond effectively to emergency and/or crisis situation
