What you will do

Learn/Assist in the Service and Inspection of fire protection pipingvalves and accessories for commercial and industrial applications. Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.

How you will do it

• Assist Sprinkler Journeypersons in servicing and Inspection of wet dry preaction and delugesprinklersystems.
• Follow allsafetypolicies.
• Maintain proper documentation for workperformed.
• Must adhere to company safety policies andprocedures.
• Follow verbal andwritteninstructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and be capable of performing physicallabor.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high liftequipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe workarea.
• Have a positive attitude and the ability to learnquickly.
• Be enrolled in Grinnells approved Apprenticeship Program maintaining all requirements of theApprenticeshipStandards.

What we look for

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Apprentices at all levels are eligible to apply.
• Valid Drivers License and a dependable means of transportation to the employers place of business and/or jobsite and to the place where classroom job related instruction isconducted.
• Ability to work well withothers.
• Be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the apprenticeship program with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of the individual orothers.
