Job Description

Energy Efficiency Account Manager (HVAC)

Location: Remote Missouri (Field/Home Greater St. Louis area preferred)

As an Energy Efficiency Account Manager you will support utility residential programs by being the primary contact for the network of contractors providing weatherization to utility customers. This position works closely with the ICF implementation team to ensure the contractor network delivers consistently quality installations with outstanding customer service. The energy efficiency and demand response programs bring energy efficiency and bill savings to customers including underserved and disadvantaged communities in the greater St. Louis region and surrounding areas.

As an Energy Efficiency Account Manager you will gain exposure to various types of energy efficiency projects and typically provides account management trade ally/service provider management and other technical services for a utility energy efficiency program and their stakeholders. In this role you would be responsible for training and ensuring the contractors deliver program services according to the Program guide. In addition to contractor recruiting and training this position will conduct market research and facilitate communications and coordination across a Residential Trade Ally/Contractor network throughout Missouri.

What you will be doing:

  • Primary program field contact for HVAC and weatherization contractors in the utility network. Actively strengthening relationships with routine communication and inperson visits. Involved in additional contractor recruiting efforts when needed.
  • Travel extensively throughout Missouri meeting with contractors who are working in the utilitys energy efficiency programs.
  • Perform field QA/QC to validate technical project data as directed ensuring compliance with requirements and process controls.
  • Coach and train Trade Allies and internal support team members on best practices audit resolutions and technical subject matter
  • Develop positive and productive working relationships with active and potential program participants associations and product suppliers while supporting and promoting client programs.
  • Assist in ensuring that trade ally/contractor network is in compliance with all licensing certifications internal training requirements and other requirements that are required to actively participate in the programs.
  • Build and maintain inperson relationships with Missouri trade allies subcontractors and industry associations. There will also be opportunities to attend trade shows conferences and other events to promote and represent the program offerings
  • Identify issues opportunities and lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program design and delivery.
  • Oversee distribute and track any leads that are given to the trade ally/contractor network.
  • Stay informed on industry news updates and trends.
  • Travel within Missouri territory required in field 50.

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in building sciences construction energy resources sustainability or related field. Applicants can substitute one year of experience for each year of education.
  • 2 years of industry or academic experience in energy efficiency or business including strong understanding of HVAC systems energy efficiency measures and building performance.
  • Must have valid drivers license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint Word Excel and Outlook)

What we would like you to have:

  • Excellent communication negotiation influence and relationship building skills
  • Previous Sales or Outreach experience specifically with HVAC residential customers and contractors.
  • Existing relationships with local distributors
  • Experience and knowledge of residential energy efficiency
  • Experience working in or managing a trade ally/service provider network
  • Certified Energy Manager or BPI credentials
  • CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce Microsoft Dynamics)

Pay Range There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position including but not limited to relevant work experience skills certifications and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on fulltime employment is:

$60637.00 $103083.00
