Job Description
Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for theschool year:
TRANSPORTATION
Sub Bus Driver
Hours: on call as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have an excellent driving record.
- Valid Class B CDL drivers license with P and S endorsements and no Air Break restriction.
- ODE School Bus Driver Certificate required.
- Must pass criminal history check.
- Ability to pass physical drug and alcohol tests.
- Ability to operate heavy duty vehicles in a safe and economical way.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to get along well with students of all ages and their parents.
- Ability to learn routes rules and procedures.
- Work hours are with an attempt to fill a forty hour week but are not guaranteed.
- Work varying split shifts as needed for students or school calendars including subbing on both regular and SPED routes as assigned.
- Must have one years experience driving a school bus and pass required out of district training within 30 days of hire.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
- Upon selection employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $66 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.
STARTING SALARY: $22.16 per hour.
