Job Description
Position Objective
The Continuous Improvement Technician is responsible for providing maintenance and support of key Sparton CI processes that support the fundamentals of Lean SixSigma methodologies. The CI Technician will also provide support for data collection and monitoring of key business performance metrics and will participate in improvement initiatives. In addition the CI Technician will help program support at a floor level and be a first level coach to the production team.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide maintenance and support of Sparton CI process through data collection/entry visual board creation and maintenance Lean SixSigma communications creations and support scheduling of audits followup on CI activities for monitoring purposes ordering of materials and supplies reserving rooms I setup for Kaizen activities and training events participation in 6S activities and handson participation in Kaizen events.
- Provide continual support for the culture of Continuous Improvement supporting the following focus areas:

- Standard Work
- 6S
- Root Cause Analysis
- MDI
- Kaizen
- Project Excellence
- Technology
- Ideation
- Cost Reduction
- Celebration of Excellence
- Participate in value stream mapping initiatives and improvement activities by working with PIT teams for .
- Coach and support floor associates in Lean SixSigma activities and initiatives.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with Kaizen or improvement projects preferred).
- General knowledge of lean sixsigma preferred.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires a strong getitdone mentality with lots of handson activities.
- Communication Skills: Ability to speak listen and write well. Create reports and documents.
- Familiarity with Business process management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (including Word Excel PowerPoint and Teams).
- Comfort with speaking to an audience.

Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with applicable Federal State Provincial and Company safety and health regulations and where applicable utilize proper personal protective equipment.
