Secretary/Personal Assistant to HM Coroner Lateral Move

Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review
Working 36.5 hours per week
To provide a full range of secretarial and PA services to the Birmingham and Solihull senior coroner area coroners and assistant coroners and the Coroners team. Responsible to the senior coroners investigator and the senior coroner on day to day matters.
The applicant must be proficient in using IT including Microsoft Word Excel Teams Power point and have experience of working within data management systems. The applicant would need to demonstrate experience of diary management and strong organisation skills.
It is critical that the applicant can demonstrate a high degree of accuracy be dependable and recognise the importance of confidentiality when dealing with coronial matters and dealing with correspondence.
An ability to be able to prioritise work load is important as is the ability to demonstrate flexibility and work as part of a team.
The applicant is expected to respond to unusual office requirements eg no set lunch breaks when court is sitting and occasionally having to work outside usual office hours.
Ability to deal with very distressing written descriptions and images relating to deceased people.
