Principal Planning Officer
GradeConsultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review
Working 36.5 hours per week
Location: Council House Birmingham / Hybrid
As part of the Planning Policy team you will be contribute to preparing and implementing the Birmingham Local Plan and other statutory planning documents. You will be a key part of the strategic planning team leading on policy areas and sites. You will work in partnership with both the public and private sector securing stakeholder engagement in project development and delivery and assisting the Planning Management Service contributing to the planning application and appeals process.
You will need to have experience in the field of strategic planning with the ability to manage a diverse and challenging workload be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and organisations and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development. You should have a postgraduate or degree qualification in Town Planning or equivalent and have or be actively working towards chartered membership of RTPI.
