Position Overview
The College of Public Health (CPH) at The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) seeks applications to fill a fulltime open rank faculty position in the Department of Population & Community Health. This is a 12month tenuretrack appointment with a primary focus on developing and collaborating for externally funded research and covering graduate education in biostatistics and related fields. The candidate should have earned a doctoral degree in biostatistics statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a record of independent and/or collaborative research programs or have an emerging record of developing such programs. The candidate will teach graduatelevel biostatistics courses annually. The faculty member will also contribute to course development and curriculum planning advise and mentor graduate students provide service to the department and university and engage in scholarly activities focusing on the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate effectiveness in developing and collaborating with research teams to obtain external research funding and a commitment to developing and practicing effective evidencebased teaching strategies tailored to public healthrelated applications.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in biostatistics statistics or a closely related quantitative field
Proven graduatelevel teaching experience
