We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operational Lead located in GrandFalls NB.


About the role.

The purpose of this role is to develop the loading and unloading schedule to meet the requirement of customer order and Deployment while maximizing the efficiency of the Shipping function within the cold storage warehouse. The Warehouse Operational Lead will assist the Warehouse Manager in developing strategic and efficient improvements of the Shipping function.

Accountabilities:

  • The Warehouse Operational Lead will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and have two direct reports holding the role of Shipper. The Warehouse Operational Lead will have responsibility to actively manage coach and develop these direct reports. Ensure organization and preparations for orders having special requirements is met
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Logistics Customer Service and Carriers to ensure effective issue resolution
  • Ensure changes and revisions to orders and appointments are properly communicated to Operations
  • Prepare nonfinished goods Bill of Lading as required
  • Maintain shipping statistics to support analytical and strategic planning of the department
  • Develop knowledge of shipping operations to be an effective participant in efficiency and operations improvements and to prepare a schedule that makes the best use of resources.
  • Audit completed shipping documents to confirm and verify they meet requirements and comply to HACCP CTPAT CFIA and other regulatory programs
  • Maintain and file paperwork as per company and regulatory requirements
  • Address and/or correct issues within SAP and WMS as related to shipping documents
  • Ensure tracking of numbered seals is completed to satisfy requirements of CTPAT
  • Ensure the department has sufficient materials i.e. trailer seals pallet labels paper; to operate effectively
  • Pallet ordering
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.   • Postsecondary education is required (bachelors degree in supply chain Business Engineering or a related field is preferred)
  • 24 years experience in Warehousing Shipping Logistics or Supply chain is required Proficiency in Microsoft suite is required; particularly Excel Power Point and Word
  • Experience in collaboration and problem resolution with internal and external parties is required
  • Must be able to deal with difficult or stressful situations in a calm professional manner
  • Must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be motivated to drive process improvement and continuous improvement
  • Experience with SAP and/or WMS is considered an asset
  • Experience in managing people is preferred
