POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage
SHIFT REQUIRMENTS: Open Availability
POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Are you passionate about cooking and delivering exceptional dining experiences We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our Food and Beverage team. As a Cook you will play a crucial role in preparing highquality meals that delight our guests. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment will ensure that every dish meets our highest standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare HighQuality Meals:
- Execute dishes with precision and adherence to recipes.
- Ensure every meal is prepared to perfection meeting presentation and taste standards.
- Stay updated on menu items and kitchen techniques to consistently deliver the best.
Maintain Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean organized and sanitized.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Properly store food and supplies ensuring everything is labeled and stored at the correct temperatures.
Support Kitchen Operations:
- Work efficiently to meet service demands while maintaining quality.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Assist with inventory management including checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Ensure Food Safety:
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure food is safe for consumption.
- Regularly clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the General Manager promptly.
Contribute to a Positive Team Environment:
- Exhibit a positive attitude and work ethic.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and dining staff.
- Assist with training new team members as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Culinary Skills:
- Proven experience as a cook or similar role in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques kitchen equipment and health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and replicate dishes consistently.
Attention to Detail:
- Keen eye for quality and presentation.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Physical Stamina:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of the job including lifting heavy items.
Team Player:
- Works well with others and contributes to a positive team atmosphere.
- Reliable punctual and professional.
AVAILABILITY:
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.
