POSITION TITLE: Cook
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: NonExempt
POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage

SHIFT REQUIRMENTS: Open Availability

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Are you passionate about cooking and delivering exceptional dining experiences We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our Food and Beverage team. As a Cook you will play a crucial role in preparing highquality meals that delight our guests. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment will ensure that every dish meets our highest standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare HighQuality Meals:

    • Execute dishes with precision and adherence to recipes.
    • Ensure every meal is prepared to perfection meeting presentation and taste standards.
    • Stay updated on menu items and kitchen techniques to consistently deliver the best.
  2. Maintain Cleanliness and Organization:

    • Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean organized and sanitized.
    • Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Properly store food and supplies ensuring everything is labeled and stored at the correct temperatures.
  3. Support Kitchen Operations:

    • Work efficiently to meet service demands while maintaining quality.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service.
    • Assist with inventory management including checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
  4. Ensure Food Safety:

    • Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure food is safe for consumption.
    • Regularly clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
    • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the General Manager promptly.
  5. Contribute to a Positive Team Environment:

    • Exhibit a positive attitude and work ethic.
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen and dining staff.
    • Assist with training new team members as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Culinary Skills:

    • Proven experience as a cook or similar role in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
    • Strong understanding of cooking techniques kitchen equipment and health and safety guidelines.
    • Ability to follow recipes accurately and replicate dishes consistently.
  • Attention to Detail:

    • Keen eye for quality and presentation.
    • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Physical Stamina:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of the job including lifting heavy items.
  • Team Player:

    • Works well with others and contributes to a positive team atmosphere.
    • Reliable punctual and professional.

AVAILABILITY:

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.
