Job Description
Overview
Based in Frankfurt or Paris and reporting to the Manager New Business EMEA Witali Engelhardt the Business Development Engineer (f/m/d) will primarily be responsible for assisting FM Approvals to expand the availability of FM Approved products which are locally available and serviced and accepted by local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sell certification services for loss prevention technologies.
- Create and implement marketing strategies and business plans for new product categories and regions.
- Identify prospects through presentations trade shows and collaboration with industry associations.
- Increase awareness and demand for FM Approved products in target industries.
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities associations standards committees and manufacturers.
- Provide productspecific support for risk prevention engineering.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably civil fire protection mechanical or electrical) or business/marketing with relevant technical experience.
- Combination of education and work experience considered.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial building construction fire protection loss prevention risk engineering or hazardous locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (min. B2 and local language.
- Knowledge of loss prevention product certification standards is desirable.
- Experience in business development is an advantage.
- Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills (including facilitating and presenting).
- Local and international drivers license. Expected travel: 3540.
