Job Description

This position is responsible for handling all reservation inquiries and entering reservations into the hotel management system in a friendly courteous and professional manner. This position is also responsible for securing payment verifying and adjusting billing and assisting guests with requests while following CSM high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction. This key role communicates across several departments complying with quality assurance and expectations.

Follows proper selling techniques and ensures strategies are utilized to maximize room revenues.
Monitors room availability follows restrictions all booking policies and procedures and manages group blocks and rooming lists.
Drives sales and maximizes revenue by upselling rooms and amenities.
Familiar with each locations features geographic location and nearby attractions.
Knowledgeable of all packages promotions citywide events and groups.
Answers telephone calls pleasantly and efficiently utilizing approved verbiage.
Anticipates and responds to inquiries in a friendly positive and timely manner while providing the highest quality service to guests.
Handles and researches inquiries coordinates information flow to appropriate departments.
Works as a team player in meeting guests needs and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments when necessary.
Understands and follows CSM guest service recovery program.
Responsible for proper use of all equipment and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM brand local state and federal regulations.
Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
Produces required volume of work by planning organizing and prioritizing work duties effectively.
Adheres to CSM attendance policy grooming and appearance standards and general work rules and department procedures.
Attends all required department and hotel meetings.

Competencies/Skills Required: 1 years customer service experience required. Prior reservations experience preferred. Experience with One Yield PMS Fosse and MARSHA preferred. Computer knowledge Microsoft Office and excellent verbal communication skills required. Attention to detail customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced environment.

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift push and pull up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
