DescriptionPosition Overview:
The Senior Manager of Newsletters Lifestyle is responsible for overseeing the digital newsletter programs for premier brands including Cosmopolitan Country Living Delish Good Housekeeping House Beautiful The Pioneer Woman and Prevention. This role is pivotal in driving strategy engagement and growth. The Senior Manager will collaborate with editorial and other stakeholders to ensure that the newsletters evolve to meet key business goals. They will enhance the monetization of our newsletter program through subscriptions commerce and advertising strategies. Additionally they will lead reviews of the programs infrastructure to ensure a strong foundation for future growth.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with editorial design PD&E and marketing teams as well as the ESP (Email Service Provider) to produce engaging and visually appealing newsletters that provide value to our audiences.
- Oversee the creation segmentation auditing and scheduling of newsletter deployments.
- Utilize datadriven strategies to optimize open rates clickthrough rates and overall subscriber engagement.
- Diplomatically engage key stakeholders across various departments prioritizing the development of mutually beneficial solutions that enhance consumer value.
- Synthesize large amounts of information to prioritize and focus on key objectives while effectively managing a daily publishing schedule.
- Employ A/B testing to refine content subject lines and layout aiming to boost engagement and monetization while enhancing the overall consumer experience.
- Analyze performance metrics and regularly produce detailed reports with a focus on communicating key insights trends and areas for opportunity..
- Partner with stakeholders to devise and implement strategies to expand our engaged audience base; foster longterm relationships and enhance brand loyalty.
- Implement subscriber segmentation and personalization strategies to deliver targeted content.
- Stay ahead of trends by actively researching and implementing the latest developments in newsletter and email best practices.
- Coordinate with editorial sales and advertising teams to identify and launch highpotential newsletter opportunities effectively balancing strategic vision with attention to detail.
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with brand standards and legal requirements.
- Occasional holiday or weekend work may be required.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Journalism Marketing Communications or a related field.
- 57 years of experience in email or newsletter production.
- Experience in media preferred.
- Proven track record of managing successful email or newsletter campaigns at scale.
- Proficiency with email marketing software and reporting tools (e.g. Sailthru Google Analytics Microsoft Office and Google products).
- Experience with project management software such as Asana or AirTable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with project management software like AirTable Asana or Trello.
The basesalaryfor this role is $88$100k.The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as: transferable skills work experience business needs and market demands. The base payrangeis subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This position is based in the NYC office a minimum of 3 days a week but most likely closer to 45 days in office.
