We are recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award FCS offers patients access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida. Our patients have access to groundbreaking therapies in a community setting and may participate in national clinical research studies of and treatment protocols. In the past five years the majority of new cancer approved for use in the U.S. were studied in clinical trials with FCS participation prior to approval.

Position Summary:

• Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals.
• Ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Will occasionally assist other physicians in the care and teaching of oncology/hematology patients in an inpatient setting.

Required Qualifications:

• A graduate of an allopathic US Medical School of a school recognized and approved by the US Office of Education (AMG) and completed at least one year of approved residency training or an international medical school (IMG) and have a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate and completed an approved residency of at least 2 years in the specialty of Oncology/Hematology;
• licensed or eligible for licensure as Medical Doctor with the State of Florida Board of Medicine; and Board Certified/Eligible in Oncology & Hematology.
• Position also requires fluency in the English language and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse populations including other physicians employees patients and families.
• Leadership skills necessary to direct others toward objectives that contribute to the successful treatment of patients.
• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate patients status health care procedure / techniques and to monitor quality of patient care.
• Fiscal skills to monitor and control costs and revenue.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties.
• Valid Florida Driver License.
• Must comply with the FCS Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy.
