Job Description
Position:Robotics/Technology Teacher (Computer Science)
Location:Woodstock Union High/Middle School
Term:OneYear Position
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Robotics/Technology Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming academic year. This position involves teaching robotics and technology courses to both middle and high school students fostering technological literacy problemsolving skills and creativity.
About the Role
- Develop and implement engaging robotics and technology curriculum for grades712
- Teach programming engineering principles and design thinking
- Oversee robotics club activities and competitions
- Maintain technology equipment and robotics supplies
- Collaborate with science and math departments
- Provide opportunities for projectbased learning
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Potentially supervise afterschool robotics team activities
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Technology Education or related field
- Teaching certification in technology education or related area
- Experience with robotics platforms (LEGO VEX Arduino etc.
- Knowledge of programming languages appropriate for middle/high school students
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for technology education and studentcentered learning
- Experience coaching robotics teams preferred
