The role of the Temporary Structure Supervisor is to supervise and assist the Temporary Structure Installer I & II with installing and dismantling temporary structures in a safe and efficient manner following manufacturer and company guidelines. This role will be responsible for managing and directing a small crew in a positive learning environment.
What youll do:
Leadership: motivate coach and train personnel
Resolve issues where staff needs assistance and following the proper escalation process
Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee ongoing training
Provide regular performance feedback
Reward and recognize employees to reinforce positive behaviors
Installs and dismantles temporary structures using powered equipment various type of lifts and hand tools
Assembles various tents per manufacturer company safety policy and procedures
Inspects tents and accessories for damages before removing
Load and unload truck properly at job site
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
35 years of tent installation experience
Possess and maintain a valid drivers license with minimal driving infractions
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations and construction experience a plus
Ability to mentor and coach other installers
Working Conditions:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Most work will be outdoors with general warehouse conditions in which some work areas may not be heated or airconditioned
Constant interaction with coworkers and with the public
Frequent lifting and a significant degree of walking bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions
May have exposure to chemicals including but not limited to gasoline diesel fuel propane kerosene and cleaning solvents
Propane is an obvious hazard therefore a sense of smell is required
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals policies and procedures.
