Expression of Interest Assistant Team Leader Open Space Construction
Open Space and Community Facilities are calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from employees interested in a secondment opportunity in the position of Assistant Team Leader Open Space Construction for a period of up to six months commencing 1 May 2025 until 30 October 2025.
In this position you will assist the Team Leader Open Space Construction in undertaking general labouring duties associated with the construction and maintenance of parks park structures and sporting fields within the Cessnock City Council local government area. This role will also act as site supervisor on projects during the Team Leaders absence for both long and short terms.
This is a temporary position for up to six monthsworking 38 hours per week.
If you are interested in submitting an expression of interest please address the following criteria in your submission:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role including experience in detailed formwork carpentry and concrete finishing of all concrete surfaces including exposed aggregate;
- Demonstrated experience in planning and designing construction projects reading and understanding plans for construction and installation of playground shelters and park furniture;
- Demonstrated experience and thorough knowledge of landscape and building construction techniques drainage retaining walls shelters surveying and fencing;
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently meet predetermined works schedules and determine material and labour requirements to complete basic work components;and
- Current MR licence (minimum) and Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction (White Card).
This position is a grade 4 in Councils Salary System $63952 $74050 per annum
