Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform underground surveys to determine precise measurements of tunnels stopes and other underground mining areas.
- Utilize surveying equipment such as total stations levels and GPS to collect data.
- Create and maintain accurate mine maps and plans.
- Collaborate with mining engineers and geologists to ensure survey data is aligned with mine design and geological models.
- Assist in the development and implementation of mine plans and designs.
- Conduct periodic surveys to monitor and assess ground stability.
- Provide support for ventilation and geotechnical monitoring systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Elementary Survey Certificate Chamber of Mines
- National Diploma in Mine Surveying
- 3 years of experience as an underground Mine Surveyor
- Trackless mining and vids processing
- Proficient in using surveying equipment and software.
- Good understanding of mine design and geological concepts.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid drivers license.
