Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) Patient Care Specialist
Are you a compassionate healthcare professional looking to make a difference in patients lives Our growing dialysis center in Upper Sandusky is seeking an experienced Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our healthcare team youll provide essential care to patients requiring lifesustaining dialysis treatments while working alongside experienced nephrology professionals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document patient vital signs including blood pressure temperature and pulse with precision
- Set up operate and maintain dialysis equipment according to protocol
- Implement strict infection control measures to maintain a sterile treatment environment
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Assist in medication administration under proper supervision
- Support safe patient mobility and transfer procedures
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Document all treatments and maintain accurate patient records
Required Qualifications:
- Current CCHT certification or eligible for certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited hemodialysis training program
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous dialysis center experience
- Background in physical sciences or laboratory techniques
- Experience with equipment maintenance and reprocessing
- Proficiency with healthcare software and documentation systems
