Job Description

An awardwinning and forwardthinking law firm in Basingstoke is seeking a detailoriented and enthusiastic Corporate and Commercial Paralegal to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in corporate and commercial law to gain handson experience in highquality legal work.

The Role:
Working closely with experienced lawyers including a Partner recognised as Hampshire s Lawyer of the Year you will support a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters. You ll be exposed to complex transactions and clientfacing responsibilities making this an excellent opportunity for career development within a supportive and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting a range of corporate and commercial documents and agreements

  • Maintaining company books and statutory registers and handling Companies House filings

  • Conducting legal research to support matters as they arise

  • Opening new files carrying out client due diligence and general administrative support

  • Attending client and stakeholder meetings (in person and remotely)

  • Communicating directly with clients and keeping them updated on matter progression

  • Liaising with external professionals including counsel and financial advisors

  • Managing data rooms and reviewing due diligence documentation

  • Assisting with internal precedents and procedural documents

  • Supporting billing and time recording processes

  • Collaborating with other members of the Corporate and Commercial team



Requirements

  • Strong academic background with the LPC or equivalent qualification (preferred)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and confident using legal tech tools

  • Able to work independently while also taking specific legal direction

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience using legal research tools such as Practical Law or LexisNexis

  • A proactive adaptable and teamoriented mindset
