About the role
Were looking for an experienced Headless API Architect to join our team and help shape the future of digital experience platforms. Youll play a key role in designing building and maintaining highperformance scalable web applications using working closely with designers developers and content teams to deliver seamless APIdriven digital experiences.
In this handson role youll work across the full software development life cycle from architecture and development through to implementation and continuous improvement. Youll also provide subject matter expertise on best practices in headless architecture modern JavaScript frameworks and enterprise CMS integration.
What Part Will You Play
Designing Headless Architectures: Develop and define the overall architecture for headless platforms including the separation of the presentation layer from the backend services;
Develop and maintain applications that consume content from headless CMSs;
Work with APIs and data sources including GraphQL and RESTful APIs to integrate backend services;
Participate in client facing meetings joint venture discussions vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches;
Implement frontend features with ensuring reusable components and maintainable code;
Collaborate with DevOps team and developers to review pull requests deploy and optimize applications using Azure;
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in headless architecture and provide SME guidance to other software engineers.
What youll bring
Bachelors in Computer Science IT or a related field;
5 years experience designing and developing enterprisegrade software solutions;
Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6 TypeScript and frontend frameworks;
Strong experience with React GraphQL and REST APIs;
Solid understanding of headless CMS integrations and modern web architecture;
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Gitbased workflows and cloud platforms like Azure;
Experience with state management tools such as Redux or React Context;
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Bonus Points for
- Experience deploying apps to Azure;
- Familiarity with Sitecore JSS or other enterprise CMS platforms;
- Prior experience with IBM Rational tools;
- Leadership or mentoring experience in development teams.
