Are you passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and enjoy creating meaningful vocational experiencesespecially through food preparation Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Centeris looking foran Adult Training Specialist 2 to join their dedicated team of professionals who provide 24hour residential and specialized care for clients with developmental and intellectual unique role blends handson resident engagement with culinary support in a dynamic classroom or coffee shop training setting.
Youll spend approximately 2 hours daily engaging directly with residents and the remaining time preparing meals maintaining a clean and safe kitchen space and supporting vocational programming.

Some of what you will do:
Prepare and serve meals in accordance with individualized dietary needs and sanitation protocols.
Spend quality time supporting residents in vocational learning activities such as meal prep environmental controls relaxation techniques and community readiness.
Develop and implement group or individual training programs tailored to each residents Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP).
Instruct and supervise residents in classroom coffee shop or other training environments focusing on safety hygiene and independent living skills.
Conduct activities and provide personal hygiene assistance including mobility and mealrelated support.
Maintain a clean and organized environment including setup and breakdown of training and food service areas.
We are looking for professionals who demonstrate:
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferably in a vocational or food services setting.
Comfort and physical ability to assist residents with mobility hygiene and personal care needs.
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to dietary details and safety protocols.
Ability to follow structured programs and record progress accurately in state systems.
A collaborative and compassionate team player with a passion for teaching life and workreadiness skills.
