Job description

Barilla is now looking for a full time Category Associate Manager to join the Category team based in Stockholm Sweden.

As our Category Manager you will work together both with internal departments such as KAM Trade Finance and the Sales Force as well as with external customers as an expert to ensure that Barilla is seen as the preferred category partner allowing the categories to grow. Furthermore you will be the focal point of RGM and you will have the capability to influence the commercial teams as the sales navigator. You are comfortable in Nielsen and to Analyze market data at customer and category level. We also work with ICA Self Serve so a plus if you have previous experience from this area.

Key Accountabilities

Data analysis and management:

  • Analysis of data and insights management for shopper and category converting into business recommendations and market/costumer opportunities.
  • Continuously analyse our assortment in order to find opportunities for growth come up with recommendations for our central customers as well as our sales force in order to drive profitable growth
  • Prepare and present customer presentations to central customers


Shopper and category intelligence

  • Ensure shopper and category intelligence to answer relevant business questions
  • Continuously observing/screening shopper/consumer/category trends and insights
  • Recommend and execute category and shopper studies and present those to central customers as well as internal stakeholders


Shelf layout and placement

Develop and provide shelf placement guidelines and recommendations for improving shelf performance and product initiatives.


Insights sharing and crossfunctional collaboration

  • Work closely with sales trade marketing category marketing and leverage key insights to drive sales and shares
  • Hold engaging presentations of all category findings/analysis internally as well as during our Sales conferences to our Sales force
  • Be the sparring partner and addressing queries related to ongoing projects and initiatives


Desired Skills and Background

  • Great record of accomplishment with a minimum of 5 years of work experience from category/brand management in the FMCG setting. Any additional experience in Sales and Trade Marketing will be considered a strong advantage
  • Previous Experience in managing customer data driven decision making
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Expert user of all Microsoft office tools as well as AC Nielsen databases or equivalent.
  • Strong people management skills by driving shared goals building trust and using an open communication
  • Demonstration of leadership and ownership showing curiosity and creativity while building strong and trustful relationships
  • Project management and analytical skills with a strong can do attitude that allows sound decisions making within established guidelines
  • International growth mindset ideally proven with international experiences
