Job Description
We are offering Student Internships for South African architecture students. SAOTA offers a threeweek Internship Program to prepare finalyear undergraduate Architecture Students for their careers after graduation. There are a limited number of spots available so apply today.
As part of the program students are exposed to:
Company Induction: Gain insights into the daily operations of our architects and support departments including training on our work processes.
Design EXCO: Learning about our design process and ethos
Mentorship Program Presentation: Learning about our inhouse Mentorship Program designed to guide and support First Year Out architects in achieving SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Professional) registration.
Resource Centre Orientation and Project Assignment: Exploring our Resource Centre and working with our Research team in contributing to our library through a research assignment.
Introduction to REVIT Training: Acquiring foundational skills in using REVIT for architectural design.
BIM Training and VR Sessions: Diving into Building Information Modeling (BIM) through training sessions and virtual reality experiences.
CSR Program and Visit: Visiting the 9Miles team a nonprofit organization we sponsor as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
Site Visits: Visiting SAOTA projects (completed or in construction stages)
Project Work Experience: Assisting the team in ongoing projects to apply and enhance your skills in realworld scenarios.
The internship is ONLY open to current 3rdyear Bachelor of Architecture (BAS) students who can attend in Cape Town (and provide their own accommodation) for the duration of the Internship.
