Hiring Range: $50315.81 $65410.55 annually
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential duties include but not limited to the following:
- Knowledge of adult book selection both fiction and nonfiction.
- Knowledge of library and publishing trends.
- Knowledge of vendor services.
- Knowledge of weeding standards.
- Ability to translate the needs and interests of our adult patrons into materials for our collection.
- Budget allocation and tracking.
- Analyzing the collection for usage and trends.
- Handles patron suggestions for adult materials.
- List creation to highlight the collection.
- Stays current on trends in library services and materials to adults.
- Works on additional projects such as opening day collections.
- Collaborates with others in crossfunctional teams to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Maintain a flexible schedule able to work some evenings weekends or holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Selection skills to create a high interest public library collection.
- Experience with collection development for adults.
- Ability to engage well with others and to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Preferred Masters In Library Science or Library Information Systems
Preferred One year of public library experience.
Preferred Collection Development Experience
Candidates currently residing in Colorado will be prioritized.
