Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior HV Electrical Estimator to lead the estimation and tendering of highvoltage (HV) transmission projects while also providing key support across various aspects of project delivery.
Beyond estimation and tendering you will play a critical support role in procurement cost control contract administration and project planning ensuring a seamless transition from tender award to . You will work closely with project managers engineers procurement teams and field staff to help optimise project delivery. A small support team will assist you with estimation tasks allowing you to contribute more broadly to project success.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyse detailed cost estimates for HV transmission projects ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering procurement and project management teams to refine cost estimates and submission strategies.
- Identify risks opportunities and value engineering options while engaging with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
- Support project delivery by ensuring estimated costs and key risks are understood and assisting with cost tracking budget analysis and forecasting.
- Contribute to project scheduling contract variations and costcontrol measures supporting the delivery team and contract administration.
- Lead and mentor a small team of estimators maintaining uptodate knowledge of industry trends and improving cost efficiency with finance and operations teams.
Skills and experience
- Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering Estimating or Construction Management.
- Extensive experience in HV electrical estimating for transmission projects (e.g. substations transmission lines switchyards).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems industry standards and construction methods.
- Proven support for project delivery teams in estimation procurement contract management and cost control.
- Proficient in estimating software (Candy Primavera Excel SAP).
- Skilled in analysing financial data budgets and cost reports.
- Strong negotiation and supplier engagement skills with attention to detail.
