Job Description

Central Registration Secretary

Reports to: Executive Director of Curriculum

Supervises: None

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED

General knowledge of computers and office equipment

  • To 3 months of office experience or training

Job Objective: Registers new students to the district.

Employment Terms: 12 Months

FLSA Classification: Nonexempt

Evaluation: Annually by Executive Director of Curriculum

Regular Requirements: Sit for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend and reach at below and above shoulder level repetitive use of fingers and hands to grasp and/or operate equipment; lift/move up to 15 pounds

Occasional Requirements: Walk reach with hands and arms overhead above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 25 pounds

Visual Requirements: Close color peripheral depth perception ability to adjust focus

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists provides direction and registers all new students to the district.
  2. Enters all data for new students in the SIS PowerSchool.
  3. Works with district or site leadership to clarify specifics and assists parents and students to ensure a smooth enrollment process for new students.
  4. Greets all visitors to the Registration Center courteously and directs them to the appropriate departments.
  5. Answers telephones and responds appropriately to requests for information.
  6. Communicates messages to staff as needed.
  7. Completes recaps for Wildcat Academy and Central Registration personnel.
  8. Serves as Fingerprinting Agent when the designated Fingerprinting Agent is not available.
  9. Operates fax machine copier intercom system and all other office equipment.
  10. Complies with all federal state and local laws and board policies and procedures.
  11. Utilizes professional behavior in all school related interactions.
  12. Performs tasks as requested by supervisor.
