Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detailoriented Driver to safely transport materials while supporting logistics operations. This role includes regular driving duties vehicle inspections tagging completed work orders and assisting the Shipping team when not on route. The ideal candidate thrives in a fastpaced warehouse or manufacturing environment and values teamwork safety and accuracy.
Salary: $21 $26/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
Responsibilities
Driving Duties:
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up customer materials or goods on assigned routes.
- Conduct thorough pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers during pickups and deliveries.
- Follow all truck driving rules and regulations including size weight route designations parking and rest/break periods.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.
- Upon returning from routes accurately tag/mark the status of work orders in the internal system to ensure proper tracking and completion.
- Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding instructions route delays safety concerns or any incidents involving the driver or company equipment.
Warehouse/Material Support (when not on a route):
- Assist Shipping Associates with daily tasks including:
- Wrapping pallets for outgoing shipments.
- Securing pallets with straps to ensure safe transport.
- Creating work orders for incoming customer materials.
- Help maintain a clean organized and safe warehouse environment.
- Support inventory tracking labeling and staging of materials as needed.
Skills / Qualifications
General Requirements:
- Highschool Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid State of CA drivers license or the ability to obtain one prior to the start of employment.
- Proven experience as a driver; logistics delivery or warehouse experience is a plus.
- This is a fastpaced environment and we need someone who is proactive selfmotivated and a strong team player.
- A strong safety mindset.
- Comfortable with both independent work and collaborating across warehouse and shipping teams.
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Willing to get Forklift certified (conducted in house).
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and basic correspondence.
Reasoning Ability:
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to deal with a variety of practical situations.
- Capable of interpreting instructions presented in written oral diagram or schedule formatseven when procedures are not fully standardized.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and to stand on feet for extended periods.
- Position is primarily driving with regular physical activity required for material handling tasks.
- Comfortable working in environments that involve moderate physical exertion including wrapping securing and moving materials.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to extreme temperatures dust dirt fumes unpleasant odors and loud noises may occur.
- Must be comfortable working in warehouse or industrial settings with variable conditions.
This position requires access to exportcontrolled commodities technical data technology software and services. U.S. citizenship U.S. legal permanent resident status protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)3 or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization including if required an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerces Bureau of Industry and Security the U.S. Department of States Office of Defense Trade Controls or other applicable government agency.
