If you are a sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a dedicated candidate to tackle a District Sales Manager (DSM) role located in Oklahoma ideally in Tulsa or Oklahoma City. You will be responsible for leading and growing an established territory covering a large geography and a sophisticated customer base. Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to join Emersons Discrete Automation Salesforce focusing on floor to cloud solutions that include the portfolio of ASCO Aventics Controls & Software & TopWorx. IN THIS ROLE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  1. Sales Strategy and :
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets within an assigned territory.
    • Identify new business opportunities and market trends and capitalize on them to drive revenue growth.
    • Build and maintain a sales pipeline ensuring consistent followup and closure of sales opportunities.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of the competition.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing distribution and key customers.
    • Understand customer needs provide technical expertise and offer solutions that align with their requirements.
    • Address customer concerns and issues promptly ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
    • Prepare regular sales reports including sales activity customer feedback and market trends analysis.
    • Provide accurate sales forecasts and participate in the annual budgeting process.
  4. Industry Knowledge and Product Expertise:
    • Stay up to date with industry trends market developments and emerging technologies related to the Discrete Automation Group.
    • Develop a deep understanding of Discrete Automation Groups product portfolio.
  5. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers showcasing the value proposition of Emersons products and solutions.
WHO YOU ARE:

You are an actionoriented sales professional who ensures accountability and collaborates and builds networks within a growing organization. You instill trust in the customers you serve and develop WinWin situations for your customers and Emerson by having a strategic attitude. You show resourcefulness and are resilient at balancing stakeholders goals.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience
  • Relevant years of Industrial experiencecommensurate with the level of the position.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport establish trust and close deals.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word Excel and Power Point.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Ability to travel 25 35 with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future. Position does not provide sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Marketing Business or a related field.
  • 3 years of Industrial experience
  • Experience in Industrial or Process Automation Account Management
  • Proficiency in using CRM software preferably Salesforce
  • Working knowledge of discrete automation solutions supporting technologies listed below preferred:
    • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
    • Automation Software
    • Fluid Power/Pneumatic control factory automation
    • Fluid Control technology process industrial analytical
