Join our team as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor at our newest behavioral health treatment campus Maple Lane in Grand Mound near Centralia WA.
As the primary Substance Use Disorder Counselor you will lead efforts to deliver evidencebased treatment services that align with Washington Administrative Code and state law. This pivotal role involves conducting substance use disorder assessments for civil and forensic residents guiding them toward the appropriate level of care upon discharge and working alongside psychiatric social workers to ensure access to vital communitybased resources.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing preventative services and tailored treatment plans to adults. Your leadership will be instrumental in Maple Lanes substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program management and in creating pathways for recovery and rehabilitation.
Maple Lane is a key business unit of DSHSs Behavioral Health Administration where our dedicated staff offers residents enriching opportunities and experiences outside the hospital setting preparing them for a smooth transition back into the community. This is a great opportunity to be a team member as BHA modernizes and enhances behavioral health treatment in Washington State.
Opportunities performed onsite at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5 premium pay in addition to the advertised salary. Looking ahead you might be expected to travel to our other Western WA campuses to conduct resident assessments. * A masters degree in social work or psychology and will substitute for 6 years of above work experience. A bachelors degree will substitute for 4 years of above work experience.
