ABOUT LARCHE LIVERPOOL
LArche Liverpool is made up of 7 supported living houses and the Ark our day centre and central hub of the community. Our Community includes around 40 people with learning disabilities who we support at home and around 50 people with learning disabilities we support at our Day Service as well as volunteers friends family neighbours and LArche assistants. We have been a part of the Community of Fairfield since 1976 attended local churches community groups and work in partnership with local schools and universities offering work placements.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: Locality Manager
Hours of work: up to 40 hours per week
Salary: 11.90 to 12 per hour depending on experience
Place of work: LArche Liverpool Community houses
Main purpose of the role:
As a Care and Support Worker you will support people with learning disabilities living in a variety of supported living settings in line with agreed support and care plans in all aspects of their everyday lives. You will deliver practical physical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities whilst proactively promoting choice independence and selfdetermination.
Person Centred Support
You will:
Provide high quality support to people with learning disabilities in line with LArche values policies
and procedures Reach Standards in supported living and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission CQC
Support of people with learning disabilities
Assist with the personal hygiene dress and health needs of individuals in their home
Facilitate individuals to meet their leisure social practical and spiritual needs
Encourage individuals to in their ongoing development of independence
Building an atmosphere of mutual relationships
You will:
Foster positive relationships with both assistants and people with a learning disability
Assist in celebrations and support spiritual life so that there is an atmosphere of welcome and friendship
