Description

The Rehab Quality and Compliance coordinator manages all processes associated with training and monitoring compliance of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Program with CMS Conditions of Payment and the Quality Review Program. Conducts concurrent chart audits to ensure ongoing compliance. Supports the Audit Defense Team and Revenue Cycle on issues pertaining to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Prospective Payment System. Provides initial and ongoing education to all Inpatient Rehab clinicians and liaisons on Inpatient Rehabspecific regulatory and documentation requirements. Supervises and mentors assessment coordinator and preservice specialist. Leads the interdisciplinary team in process improvement initiatives related to the Inpatient Rehab Quality Review Program.

Job Summary::

Provides clinical leadership and supervision of the care of patients in the designated work area. Develops administers and coordinates therapy services in order to ensure positive patient outcomes. Provides comprehensive therapeutic patient care for neonatal pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients.

What Youll Need:

  • Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy school with two years experience as a staff therapist in a clinical setting required.
  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
  • Current licensure in the state of North Carolina and CPR certification in Basic Life Support Level C required.

What Youll Do:

  • Provides patient care assessment and treatment.
  • Educates patients significant others and other health care providers to assure continuity of the patient care plan.
  • Coordinates clinical operations for staff schedules and patient care processes.
  • Supervises therapy staff and students to develop their clinical skills and maintain the delivery of quality patient care. Serves as a role model for profession and clinical resource for staff.
  • Maintains accurate documentation.
  • Manages and facilitates quality care and growth of clinical staff.
  • Participates in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of patient care delivery.
  • Monitors and guides area to insure compliance with all internal and external professional and regulatory agency standards.
  • Promotes professional development and education of health care as a representative on committees.
  • Provides appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines.
