Job Description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced MES Developer with over 6 years of expertise in both functional and development aspects of Manufacturing Systems (MES). The ideal candidate will have substantial handson experience in manufacturing environments particularly automotive or discrete manufacturing. Proficiency in .NET SQL PL/SQL and Java is essential. The role also requires experience in managing AMS (Application Maintenance Services) teams handling complex SLA management and ensuring smooth operation of MES solutions in production settings.
MES Architecture & Development:
- Lead the design architecture and deployment of MES solutions ensuring they align with business needs IT infrastructure and manufacturing processes.
- Develop customize and optimize MES applications using .NET SQL PL/SQL and Java.
- Design and integrate MES with other enterprise systems including ERP PLM SCADA and IoT platforms.
- Support manufacturing operations by optimizing MES for production planning scheduling shop floor control and quality management.
- Oversee system configuration and ensure seamless deployment in manufacturing environments.
- Functional Expertise:
- Provide functional guidance to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements into MES configurations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective system configurations customizations and enhancements.
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- AMS Team Leadership & SLA Management:
- Lead AMS teams responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of MES applications.
- Ensure the team delivers highquality service within defined SLAs.
- Act as the primary contact for complex SLA management ensuring service requirements are met.
- Resolve escalated issues quickly prioritizing and addressing critical challenges.
- Work with internal teams to improve incident response resolution times and customer satisfaction.
Project Management & Collaboration:
- Manage endtoend project delivery from planning through deployment and postimplementation support.
- Coordinate crossfunctional teams including IT production and business units to ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain client relationships ensuring all project milestones and deliverables are met as expected.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization and automation within the MES systems.
- Stay current with the latest MES trends technologies and tools to propose enhancements
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations designs and changes.
Experience:
- 6 years working with Manufacturing Systems (MES) including at least 3 years in an architecture role.
- Extensive experience in automotive or discrete manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in MES development and integration with .NET SQL PL/SQL and Java.
- Proven success managing AMS teams and SLA management with customers.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of MES architecture and design.
- Deep understanding of production processes quality management shop floor control and supply chain integration.
- Strong programming abilities with .NET SQL PL/SQL and Java.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP Oracle) and MESERP integration strategies.
- Experience with cloudbased or hybrid MES solutions is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Leadership capabilities with experience in managing crossfunctional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related field.
- A Masters degree is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with advanced MES functionalities such as realtime production monitoring traceability and advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of IoT Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing trends.
- Project Management certifications (e.g. PMP Agile) are advantageous.
