Job Description

How youll make an impact:
We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team. The Accounting Manager will lead a team and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting adherence to internal controls and efficient management of the monthend close process. This role will play a critical part in supporting Stratas growth by driving process improvements managing audit requirements and preparing key financial data. The key responsibilities of this role include:

Leadership

  • Build develop and grow a team of accounting professionals.
  • Provide guidance coaching and set performance goals to foster professional growth and ensure team accountability.

MonthEnd Close Process

  • Ensure tight close deadlines are consistently met while maintaining the completeness existence and accuracy of key account areas.
  • Review account reconciliations and approve journal entries (JEs) for the following:
    • Cash
    • Prepaid Expenses
    • Fixed Assets
    • Intangible Assets
    • Accounts Payable (AP) and Accruals
    • Intercompany Accounts
  • Perform analytical reviews of financial results during the monthend close identifying and explaining fluctuations to support informed decisionmaking.

YearEnd Reporting & Internal Controls

  • Compile and prepare supplemental data for the yearend 10K filing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures including the review and approval of vendor setup (e.g. bank setup and updates) and changes to the vendor master file.

Audit Support

  • Manage and respond to internal and external audit requests ensuring all documentation and explanations are provided in a timely and organized manner.

Process Improvement

  • Lead the implementation of an AP automation workflow approval system to streamline the invoicetopay process increasing efficiency and reducing manual errors.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.

What were looking for:

  • CPA highly preferred
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Proven track record of managing monthend close processes and meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience with account reconciliations journal entries and analytical reviews
  • Familiarity with internal controls and audit processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite or similar ERP systems) and AP automation tools
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company preferred

Estimated Salary Range: $101000 $130000

Actual salary will be determined based on factors including but not limited to skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role.
