Nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley Blue Ridge Community College has been equipping students alumni and employees with the knowledge and experience to transform themselves the community and the world for over 55 years. The Colleges comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees and certificates in occupational/technical and college/university transfer programs. Noncredit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals business and industry are also offered. BRCC is a community dedicated to excellence ethical behavior and empowerment and has consistently been recognized by the Chronicle of Higher Education as a Great College to Work For. Blue Ridge Community College is currently seeking adjunct instructors with a passion for training others in the healthcare field. If you are committed to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals and equipping them with the knowledge skills and confidence to care for your community then BRCCs Healthcare program is the place to be! The College is seeking adjuncts who are qualified to teach in one or more of the following areas: Nurse Aide Medication Aide Patient Care Technician Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Phlebotomy EKG Professional Coder Sterile Processing Medical Terminology PSR (Patient Service Representative) courses Other programs as needed Responsibilities of this position include: Course instruction Providing handson skills training in clinical labs when applicable Creating lesson plans Grading and preparing students for the certification exam Lab setup and tear down Working with our Healthcare Program Manager to ensure quality instruction and student completion BRCC is currently building a pool of POTENTIAL applicants for credit adjunct teaching positions in this discipline. There may or may not be any positions currently available. However in order to be considered for current and/or future openings please submit an online application. Teaching demonstration may be required. Some positions require travel to offsite locations to provide clinical instruction.
Work Schedule
Varies per role. Workforce classes are offered during the weekday weekday evenings and weekends depending on the need.
