Compensation range:
$31.72 $40.60Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience
Shift: Days Shift length: 8 HoursDays off: Fixed If fixed days off: Saturday & Sunday
Hours per pay period: 80
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides nursing care to clinic patients under the supervision of the Licensed Registered Nurse licensed physicians or designated advanced practice providers to all patients seen while assuring a high level of customer service. They assist the medical providers and perform within the scope of practice to include: room patients basic assessments collect and record data obtain detailed family history assist patients with constructing a family pedigree prepare patients for clinician evaluation and collect samples for genetic testing. The LVN may also assist with basic administrative and clerical (front office) tasks. The LVN contributes their service to the physical and emotional care and education of the patient and family in accordance with the philosophy and standards of Enloe Medical Center and composes treatment summaries and survivorship care plans as indicated.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Previous phlebotomy experience.
Desired:
- Six months nursing experience in an acute care setting or oneyear nursing experience in a nonacute care setting.
- Physician office experience
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Current licensure with the California Board of Vocational Nursing
- Current CPR certification
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence professional clinical judgment communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality always. Furthers education and clinical skills by attending classes and workshops. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
