Working within an inclusive supportive and flexible culture the role reports to the OGCs Head of IP & Technology. You will advise all areas of KPMGs business including working directly with the General Counsel and other senior executives and stakeholders. You will be operating in an area of real growth and innovation with the opportunity to independently develop your network throughout KPMG and be highlyvisible on business initiatives that are at the forefront of our rapid expansion in the technology space.

Your new role 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal guidance in relation to KPMGs rapidly growing and evolving technology solutions and digital service offerings
  • Reviewing drafting and negotiating IT and ITrelated agreements including master technology services agreements technology procurement implementation licensing SaaS managed services and outsourcing agreements
  • Advising on the structuring of and responses to tenders for the provision of technology services
  • Working closely with client engagement teams as well as our Risk Management Privacy and IT Security teams.

You bring to the role

The role we are looking to fill would suit a technology lawyer with more than 6 years PQE experience in a leading law firm or inhouse equivalent but lessexperienced candidates that can demonstrate a strong track record in technology contracting may also be considered. We would welcome applications up to and including senior associate level. You will have:

  • A current Australian practicing certificate
  • Specific experience advising on technology contracts and technologyrelated matters
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills strong written and verbal communication skills and experience building relationships with internal clients at all levels
  • Welldeveloped commercial acumen to overlay the legal analysis
  • Project management research analysis and problemsolving skills
  • Flexibility adaptability and a teamorientated attitude as well as the ability to operate independently as required and proactively manage competing priorities.
