The Role
We are currently seeking ana motivated Electrician to join our team at our new state of the art workshop in Kenwick. We are open to considering Electrician from outside the mining industry so if you are looking for an opportunity to enter the mining industry then this is your opportunity!
The focus of this role will be to carry out low voltage electrical installs maintenance repairs and fault diagnosis on Sandvik equipment while maintaining availability and minimising costs.
Install repair inspect and commission 1000volt systems to customer specifications.
Perform fault diagnosis machine assembly maintenance and repair work on Sandviks range of mining equipment.
Repairs and maintenance to workshop equipment.
Perform repair and fault finding using electrical schematics.
Responsible for planning conducting and maintaining tools and equipment for service work.
Support the customers product/equipment/processes by suggesting improvements.
Proactive approach to site safety requirements.
Abide by Safety and Environmental guidelines Australian standards and contractual requirements.
About You
Relevant trade qualification (Electrical / WA Electrical License or the ability to obtain one).
Knowledge of AS3800 would be advantageous.
Ability to learn and adapt to evolving equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills with a cando attitude and the ability to positively influence others.
Ability to pass preemployment medical reference checks police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
Previous experience in the mining industry desired but not essential.
