Position Summary:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children At ACS were looking for caring dedicated individuals who enjoy working with kids and want to support their growth and learning. In this role you will help create personalized learning experiences that meet each students unique needs while fostering a positive respectful and inclusive classroom community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support students in achieving academic and developmental goals by using Minnesota State Standards and developmentally appropriate strategies under the guidance of teaching staff.
Assist in delivering engaging childcentered lessons that help students gain essential skills and knowledge.
Provide onsite support to child care programs and help create a welcoming structured and fun environment.
Create and maintain a safe nurturing space where children feel supported respected and encouraged to learn.
Bring warmth consistency and enthusiasm to your work with students every day.
Represent the mission and values of ACS through your actions and attitude.
Build strong relationships with students and coworkers and collaborate as part of a supportive team.
Take part in team meetings and work together to support students success.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with students staff and families.
Help set clear expectations and maintain a positive classroom culture.
Work alongside teachers therapists administrators and other staff to support the academic and emotional wellbeing of all students.
Follow all state local and federal regulations including confidentiality policies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
A genuine love for working with children and helping them grow.
Understanding of inclusive education and how to support learners with a variety of needs.
Willingness to collaborate and be part of a team that puts kids first.
Openness to ongoing learning and professional development.
Ability to think on your feet solve problems and stay calm under pressure.
Respect for diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Familiarity with community resources that support families is a plus.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and respond quickly in situations where student safety is a concern.
